General Banquet Information and Policies

Reservations and Deposits

At the time of reservation, a $500 deposit is due. This deposit guarantees your accommodations, and is deducted from your final bill.   A secondary deposit of $1200 will be required six months prior to your event and a final deposit , satisfying the remainder of your bill, will be required with the final guest count seven days prior to your event.  The SC Grand does not guarantee Ball Rooms.  Rooms are assigned by party size, with the largest of the scheduled date in the largest Ball Room. We do however try to fulfill any requests.

Guarantee

Food and beverage pricing is subject to change.  We will guarantee your food price ninety (90) days prior to your function. We will guarantee you beverage price the day of the event. 

Confirmation of guest count

The SC Grand requires a final guest count to be given no later than 7 days prior to your event.  This count given will be the number that is billed.

Service Charges

A 17% service charge and applicable state and local taxes will be added to all food and beverage sales.

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel your function; all deposits will be forfeited

Decorating Policy

All decorations must be approved by a Banquet Manager before being put into place.  The SC Grand is not responsible for decorating.  Fire codes prevent allowing candles without a glass covering; all candles must be in a glass bowl or another fire resistant container.  Use of confetti and small candies as decorations on the table is not permitted, if either is used. The SC Grand will charge a $250 clean up fee.

Damage Policy

If damages to the property of The SC Grand occur during your event and estimated amount for such damages must be paid by credit card at the end of your event.  A final bill will be sent upon repair of the damages, including any costs not covered in your estimated payment, for which you will be responsible for upon receipt.

Food Service Times

The SC Grand allows the client to reserve the time they would like their dinner served. The SC Grand requires dinner to be served at that time or no longer than 15 minutes after the designated time. If the dinner is served over 15 minutes after designated time, the SC Grand will charge an extra $1.00 per person surcharge. This is to guarantee the quality of the food and the satisfaction of all the guests.

Tent and Gazebo Rental

The tent and gazebo can be rented for your ceremony for a charge of $300.00. The tent must be completely cleared no later than 2:00pm to do so unless dinner reception in the tent is to follow.  The ceremony rehearsal time and date will be scheduled based on availability.

Bar and Bartender Services

If you would like to have a private bar for your event, we can provide one for you.  A minimum expenditure of $300.00 is required for private bars, or a $75 bartender fee will be assessed.  Hosted or Open bars, the guests are allowed to order the drink of their choice, and billing is given to the individual or organization hosting the event.  A 17% service fee will apply to open bars and this tab must be paid immediately after the event.

Miscellaneous

In accordance with Wisconsin Health codes, all food or beverage must be purchased through The SC Grand.  In addition, no Food or Beverage may be taken out of The SC Grand.  The only exception is a Wedding Cake.  All Wedding Cakes must be from a licensed bakery.  The SC Grand may request proof of license at anytime. 

Cake cutting fee is $100.00

Room Minimums

The SC Grand does not automatically levy a “Room Charge”.  Instead, we have established a minimum of food and beverage dollars that must be spent.  These amounts differ by day and evening, as well as weekday vs. weekend.  If these minimums are not met, then a room rental charge for the difference will be added to the final bill.  Taxes and service charges do not count towards the food and beverage minimum.
